What is an ID card?

IDU Student ID card is the official document issued by IDU to its students to confirm the identity and student status to third party authorities. ID card is property of IDU.

How can I get an ID card?

To get your ID card you should approach the Head of Student Engagement and Learning Support. The ID card is issued by IDU to all of its students for free in the first instance.

What to do if I lose my ID card?

If you lose your ID card you should approach IDU accounting office to log in a request on reissuing your card. Fees apply. After the fees are paid a request to reissue the card is processed and you can expect your replacement card within 7 working days. To collect your card, you should approach the Head of Student Engagement and Learning Support.

What if I don’t need an ID card?

The ID card is issued to all students of IDU. If you graduate from the university or leave the university you should submit your card back to the Head of Student Engagement and Learning Support. In case if you have not collected your ID card from IDU in the first instance you should inform the Head of Student Engagement and Learning Support. If you have collected your ID card previously, but it was lost/stolen/destroyed you should fill in the request for replacement of the ID card in order to collect your documents held by IDU.

How can third parties verify the ID status?

All ID cards have a QR code, which leads to the ID card verification system. If third party authorities need to verify the status of your ID, they can use the online system available at IDU by scanning the QR code on your ID card and entering your ID number. The verification system is available here: idu.uz/site/verification

What information is provided in the verification system?

Information displayed on your ID card as well as a statement of your student status in three languages (Uzbek, English and Russian) is available in the ID card verification system.

What is the step-by-step instruction for the replacement of the ID card?

In case of a loss of the IDU card the copy may be issued to a students based on the following process:

1.      Student approaches the IDU accountants’ office with the request to reissue the ID card

2.      Accountants provide students with the payment document to issue the replacement of the card (current replacement charge is 120 000 UZS)

3.      Student pays for the replacement using one of the two methods:

a.      HUMO card via terminal at IDU

b.      Any method at the bank

4.      Student brings confirmation of payment to the accountants

5.      Accountants log in the request to reissue the card

6.      Student receives the new card within 7 working days of payment being made

Where do I use my ID card?

The following list is indicative:

1. You must bring your ID card to all IDU summative assessments
2. Your ID card is used by the transportation authorities
3. ID is used as a verification document for all internal services of IDU and must be carried at all times while you are on the IDU premises

IDU ID card may also be requested by the third parties to verify your student status
